Kira Live At The Rex
28.08.2007

Commanding, exhilarating and without promise to reveal the secrets in their lyrics...an adventure only a vixen like Kira could convey.

Kira slinks onstage adorned in a luscious red catsuit, naked feet and her sultry signature of husky vocals. Opening with ** 'Save Me'**, a hundred faces watch on in awe whilst she belts out the opening chorus, crying out with all the lust of a nymph making a deal with the devil.

**'Skating on your pool'**, the haunting song captured in the Brown Punk movie directed by Tricky, punches the air leaving goose bumps.  Snapping the audience out of their hypnotised stance, wolf whistling recognition ensues. Kira cracks a feline smile as she hikes her right leg on its ball to support her guitar.   She is commanding, exhilarating and without promise to reveal the secrets in her lyrics.  **'Make a Man'** ends the set with the quiet abandon of a restless heart with all the wants to understand their lover.  What is left is the knowing strength of reason that a woman can make her man.

Garreth Watkins added steam to a DJ set introducing Kira. Mixing with an over excited arduour, Sly, the compare, was urged to shout him down to let the band begin.  What followed was a dance into an underworld of forgotten symphonies on the human condition.  An adventure only a vixen like Kira could convey.
